March 27-29, 2008 Denver Marriott Tech Center, Denver, Colorado
MANRRS provides ongoing networking and professional development activities for its members. The best opportunity for networking, however, occurs at the ANNUAL CAREER FAIR AND TRAINING CONFERENCE. Each spring, the MANRRS conference brings hundreds of people together to discuss issues of interest and concern regarding diversity in agriculture and related areas. In addition to workshop sessions and keynote addresses by prominent individuals, the conference conducts a career fair where employers from agricultural and natural resources industries and government meet with students and young professionals to discuss internship and full-time employment opportunities.
MANRRS also sponsors REGIONAL WORKSHOPS located in one of the six MANRRS regions. These regional workshops, generally held in the fall or winter, focus on professional and leadership development for students.
MANRRS has developed partnerships with a number of private companies and government agencies, many of which become NATIONAL SPONSORS. From these linkages, MANRRS is able to offer internships and cooperative training experiences for its student members and professional and scholarly development opportunities for its professional members. Through partnerships with agencies and corporations, MANRRS is working to diversify the agriculture and natural resources workforce.
It is hoped that through its many events and initiatives, MANRRS will continue to play a key role in the future of agriculture and natural resources around the world. With this vision and with the dynamic leadership of its professional and student officers, MANRRS is indeed changing the face of agriculture across the country and the world. |
